I've been fighting Laryngitis this week and so have been putting myself to bed drinking lemon and honey immediately after camp ends. As a result, I haven't posted any of the wonderful work the students have done, despite having an instructor who can't talk!
Below are some blobimals they made on the first day to rev up their imaginations for the week. This camp is focused solely on animals and so naturally, they had to find the animal in the blob.
This is a nice project to work on when everyone is still getting to know each other and a little worried if their work will be "good enough". It is a nice way to break the ice and giggle together. Everyone was very impressed with each others work and the project helped foster camaraderie amongst the group that has prevailed all week.
7 year old, halibut
10 year old, jelly fish
8 year old, puffer fish
8 year old, shark
6 year old, piranha, bird, fish, you name it! it's here
6 year old, sting ray
(I feel like I need to clarify that this student is actually 6 and 2/4's. He emphasizes that every.single. time. He is NOT just 6.)
8 year old, puffed up bird
